2. Technical principle:

According toHJ637-2018Standard: Extract oil substances from water using extraction solvents, determine the total extract, then adsorb the extract with magnesium silicate, remove polar substances such as animal and vegetable oils, and determine petroleum. The total extract and petroleum content were calculated based on the absorbance A2930, A2960, and A3030 at spectral bands with wave numbers of 2930 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH2 group), 2960 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH3 group), and 3030 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in aromatic ring), respectively. The content of animal and vegetable oils is calculated based on the difference between the total extract and petroleum content.

3. Application scope of the instrument

This instrument is mainly used for measuring oil content in surface water, groundwater, and industrial wastewater. It can also be used for monitoring oil content in flue gas and solids in the catering industry. This instrument is a professional instrument for measuring the oil content in water, gases, and solids.

7Instrument storage and usage conditions:

1) Normal environmental conditions for instrument use
1. Environmental temperature: 10 ℃~35 ℃
2. Relative humidity not exceeding 80%
3. The instrument should be placed in a laboratory that is free of corrosive gases, strong electromagnetic interference, well ventilated, and dust-free.
4. Power supply: (220 ± 22) V AC 50Hz
5. Areas with unstable power supply should be equipped with regulated power supply.
6. The power supply should be well grounded.

2) Transportation and Storage
1. The product should be stored at a temperature of 5-35 ℃ and a relative humidity not exceeding 80% under its original packaging conditions.
2. During transportation, instruments should avoid strong vibrations and collisions.


8、 Precautions for using the instrument:
1. The instrument should be preheated for 30 minutes before measurement.
2. The CCl4 used in the oil analyzer should be of analytical purity or above and purified by activated carbon filtration or distillation. It can only be used after being verified as qualified by the instrument. The verification method can refer to the relevant parts of this manual.
3. When operating the instrument, experimental gloves should be worn, ventilation facilities should be turned on, and air circulation should be maintained to prevent the volatilization of carbon tetrachloride from causing damage to the human body,.
4. The optical components of lighting should be avoided from being touched by human hands and dust contamination should be avoided as much as possible. If the optical mirror is stained with fingerprints or dust, it can be rinsed with anhydrous alcohol or acetone under the guidance of technicians. For gratings, this cleaning method is not possible and requires professional maintenance.
5. If any abnormal phenomena are found during the operation, the power supply of the instrument host can be turned off and then restarted to work.
